Track The Joy - Kmart Journal Entry

What activities bring you joy? Which people bring you joy? What is hands down the most fun you've ever had? What's the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?

I find that a lot of different activities bring me joy. The things that I enjoy most would be disassociating (I can't help that, I'm Borderline.. HA-HA! And who doesn't enjoy a good daydream?! HA-HA!). I like to read, but I find that because of my mental health issues, I really do struggle to sit down and read a book for any longer than about 5-10 minutes. I used to be able to read a lot better also when I didn't have a mobile phone. So I do think that technology has played a major part in that. It seems that I read a couple of pages and then my phone goes off with a notification and so then I look at my phone. I think that I need to start silencing my phone a bit more often and just checking it say every half an hour to an hour. What would you do if you were me? I love to do colour in, but I find that by the time I actually get set up and get started, it is almost time to pack it all up again. Plus I am studying at the moment, so I find that when I do notice my attention span is good, I try to spend the time studying. I have actually been trying to do the Podomoro technique. I have been finding that most of the time I get to about 20 minutes and I need a break. But I am sure that if I keep trying, I'll be able to do the 30 minutes soon enough.

In regards to the people that bring me joy, I would say that my family first and foremost bring me the most joy. For an example, my Grandmother called me yesterday from 1300kms away just to say hello, because she had been dusting her photos and she looked at one of my photos and was wondering how I was. My Nanna is one of the most gorgeous lady's to every exist! My daughter also brings me a lot of joy. Especially when she makes me laugh. She is extremely pretty and then has this great personality and sense of humour to go with the looks. She truly is the package deal my kid! And my parents also bring me joy. They try and do many different things with myself and my brother, because they like to see us happy.

The most fun I have hands down ever had would have to be when my parents took my brother and I to the USA when I was almost 12 years old. We went on a tour bus and we got to see all the tourist attractions on the west coast of the USA. I think my most favourite part was when we went to the 4 corners and I was jumping between the states. My parents laughed and laughed at me, and then joined in. :)

The most spontaneous thing I have done is probably something I have done a couple of times now, but it makes me smile and the people around me smile and laugh too. Apart from my Nanna (she got embarrassed HA-HA!) I like to plank a trolley while it is going down an aisle in the supermarkets. I literally can get my body flat on the trolley and down the aisle I go. HA-HA! My housemate got a photo of me doing it about 2 weeks ago and I was pretty flat, very impressed with my skills. HA-HA!

Observe Nature - Kmart Journal Entry

When did you last see the sunset or sunrise? When did you last go for a bushwalk? When did you last swim in the ocean? Describe these times. What's your favourite place in nature - why? Great questions Kmart Journal! Ha-Ha!  The last time that I watched a sunset or sunrise was the about three mornings when I woke up at 4:40am (not sleeping the best at the moment) and couldn't get back to sleep, so I did get to see the sunrise. It was also very peaceful and I find that now that I am waking up a bit earlier, that I am more productive with my day, especially in the mornings. I am going to try and start to get up earlier. I have always been a bit of a night owl, therefore I find it hard to get to bed early and end up sleeping in later.  I haven't been on a bush walk for quite some time, but I do try to walk my dog every day and I get to walk to the waterfront whenever I want!  I am not that fond of creepy crawlies, so I don't like to do many bush walks in case I see a creep...

Saying No - Kmart Journal Entry

How easy is it for you to say no? For myself, I struggle to say to nearly every single person that I come across in my life. I guess you would call me a people pleaser, who also says what she thinks.  I think that the BPD may play a bit of a part in that though.  Ever since I was a little girl I was taught that I should try and help others when I possibly can, even if it means giving the person my last dollar. I can say that doing this has f**ked me up financially more times than I can count! And I truly have tried extremely hard to help every single person that has asked me for help. But lately I am starting to feel like I am just a sucker when it comes to particular people and helping them. It seems like the friendships are very one sided and I seem to be the one always doing the work.  I do know that I have to learn to start saying no, and I am slowly doing it. I am noticing that I am not hearing from particular people, because I am saying no and not jumping to their e...
